Projects
The staff of Shabeldeen Engineering has successfully completed simple and complex, projects both large and small. The following sections briefly describe the range of project that the company and/or our staff has completed.
Engineered septic systems for commercial and residential owners, including Montessori School (Newton), Matthews Veterinary Clinic (Vale), Cheek's Grill (Lenoir) and Terrell Baptist Church (Terrell). Saved client thousands of dollars by redesigning a proposed commercial system to include equalization to reduce field size and eliminate more expensive disposal methods
Grandfather Vistas residential subdivision (Caldwell County, NC), which included approximately 8.0 miles of water transmission main, three (3) in-line booster pump stations, one (1) ground storage tank, and approximately 4.0 miles of distribution lines. The project also included approximately 12.0 miles of sewer force main, one (1) lift station, and 4.0 miles of low-pressure sewer collection lines
Sewer force main of approximately 45,000 linear feet (LF) of 12" to 30" pipe, two (2) large diameter lift stations, and one 14,000 gpm in-line booster pumping station (Sarasota, FL)
Water mains and fire hydrants in an older residential area, served by old, small-diameter galvanized pipes (Claremont, NC and Venice, FL)
Septic tank replacement program of approximately 20,000 linear feet (LF) of vacuum sewer mains and vacuum sewer pumping station, 8,000 LF of conventional gravity sewer lines and lift station, and two (2) low-pressure sewer systems (Sarasota, FL)

Water And Sewer Infrastructure Planning
Preliminary Engineering Report for VX Aerospace and Foothills Regional Airport water line extension (Caldwell and Burke counties, NC)
Sewer system interconnections between Catawba County, Conover, and Claremont to serve the Oxford School area of Catawba County (Catawba County, NC)
Site study for a 15 MGD water treatment facility. Established selection criteria and evaluated 13 sites. (Tampa Bay Water; Tampa, FL)
20-Year water distribution system master plan evaluating population and growth trends, water demands, transmission, pumping, and storage facilities for the entire county (Manatee Count, FL)
Countywide water system evaluating supply options, transmission mains, and four (4) elevated storage tanks (Caswell County, NC)
Water supply study evaluating new wells and reverse osmosis treatment on the island, off-island supply (Pender County or new well field), and interconnection with adjacent municipality (Topsail Beach, NC)
